What WE DO

Overview

We walk alongside asylum seekers who feel called to serve, offering education, leadership development, and practical support that nourishes both heart and community. Our programs partner with churches, theology schools, and trusted organizations to nurture spiritual growth, equip leaders, and ensure basic needs are met so aslyum seeker individuals can thrive.

Humanitarian Program (Food & Transportation)

  • Transportation Subsidy: support to help our aslyum seekers participants attend church services, programs, and educational activities.
  • Food and Meals: hot meals provided (e.g., Sunday meals) to foster belonging, nourishment, and community.
  • This program is funded through a dedicated humanitarian fund and managed with compassionate governance.

Monthly Talks & Interest Classes

  • Dental and Mental Wellbeing Talks: monthly sessions addressing oral health, mental health awareness, and practical self-care strategies
  • Stretching Classes: gentle physical stretches and mobility routines suitable for all fitness levels.
  • Musical Instruments Interest Class: introductory sessions to explore rhythm, melody, and instrument basics.
  • Language Courses: ongoing language learning opportunities (e.g., Cantonese or other relevant languages) to support integration.
  • Fun Day Activities: seasonal community events to build belonging and relieve stress through social connection.
  • Eligibility: Aslyum seekers or refugees only

Leadership Training Program

  • What it includes: Biblical leadership development, community organizing, communication and project management skills, and opportunities to apply learning in real-world settings.
  • Access: referrals through partner organizations; short courses and in-depth workshops delivered through our training partners.

Theology Pathway

  • What it includes: tuition assistance, access to accredited theology programs, ministry mentorship, and discernment support to help participants explore and prepare for pastoral or preaching roles.
  • Eligibility: asylum seekers with a clear calling to theology who are enrolled in an accredited program.
  • Access: applications coordinated through our partner churches and theology schools.

Pastoral Training Program

  • What it includes: targeted training for pastoral leadership, preaching skills, mentorship, and opportunities to serve within partner church communities.
  • Outcomes: readiness for local ministry, enhanced pastoral competencies, and practical experience in faith-based service.

We seek to build a compassionate, faith-informed community that offers hope, fellowship, and security to families starting life in Hong Kong or navigating lengthy asylum procedures, with dignity and mutual support.

Our commitment extends beyond immediate needs, aiming to create sustainable and meaningful change in the communities we touch.
